Clinical Supervision; as a unique set of competencies, abilities and job functions; requires specific knowledge that must be obtained and skills that must be mastered. This training will focus on the core competencies required to be able to function as a clinical supervisor while addressing standards of clinical practice within the context of ethical considerations.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the role and responsibilities of a clinical supervisor.
- Describe the knowledge and skills needed to function as a clinical supervisor.
- Identify different styles and the process of clinical supervision.
- Discuss the interface between effective clinical supervision and ethical practice.
