The Requirements and Responsibilities of the New Rule 25

The revisions to Rule 25 significantly change the clinical and administrative assessment requirements for placing authorities: counties, tribes and prepaid health plans. This training will walk participants through the concepts and language of the new assessment model (The Minnesota Matrix) as well as the new assessment tool. Additionally, administrative responsibilities and how they are operationalized will be discussed.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Conduct appropriate chemical use assessment interviews, access collateral information, determine level of chemical use, utilize placement guidelines and recommend appropriate referral options.
  • Utilize case applications to increase effectiveness as a chemical use assessor.
  • Conduct chemical use assessments compliant with Minnesota State Rule 25.
